Slow down

Slow down and enjoy life. It’s not only the scenery you miss by going too fast – you also miss the sense of where you are going and why.

There’s this constant push to go-go-go. Do something, be something. Even if you don’t know for sure that you want todo something, that its the right path for you or the right thing for you to do. There’s this frenzied, scared energy that constantly tells us to move, move forward in any direction. Because you don’t want to just sit still, stop moving, let inertia get the better of you.
Maybe slowing down isn’t so bad. You still keep moving, but can be more mindful of the direction you’re going, contemplating that each step is in the right direction. Or at least it’s in a direction you want to go, not the wrong direction.
Knowing why you’re going somewhere can be just as important as actually getting there.
